Amy Huberman and Brian O' Driscoll have exclusively revealed that they've picked 'lovely Leitrim' for their wedding day. The stunning actress-turned-author will marry Ireland's rugby hero in the prestigious Lough Rynn Castle in Mohill Co Leitrim next summer. Though remaining tight-lipped on the date, speaking exclusively to the Sunday Independent at Books 09, which she helped launch on Thursday night, an excited Huberman said: "Wedding plans are going really good. We have booked our place".
Asked about the style of celebration, she smiled before saying, "A big bash". Lough Rynn Castle can cater for 320 guests, and it is thought the couple will avail of these services. Set on 300 acres, the five- star hotel, which was the ancestral home of the Clements Family and the legendary Lord Leitrim, comprises a 42-bedroomed hotel, spa and a championship golf course designed by Nick Faldo.
A spokesperson for the hotel said that the couple were "blown away by the beauty of the setting" and the "privacy the location allows". Huberman admitted that planning her and Brian's special day will be consuming much of her time over the next few months. The celebrity couple have dating since early 2007 and got engaged in March just after she celebrated her 30th birthday and a few days after O'Driscoll captained Ireland to an historic Grand Slam victory.
It is unknown whether the couple have signed a magazine deal, though they have both said in the past, they want to keep it as low key as possible. "We're trying to make this as painless as possible. It's been manic -- but so great -- there's just been so much going on," Brian said.
While his beautiful bride-to-be, told how she wanted to avoid anything "too stuffy" and instead just wanted a big party for all their family and friends.
